I Heard it Through the Grapevine

After three years of loving labor, Hume Vineyards is celebrating its grand opening this
Saturday, July 10, noon-6pm.  All are invited to be among the first to taste their freshly
uncorked 2009 Vidal Blanc (a great summer option), 2009 Chambourcin (the vineyard’s
champion grape), 2008 Detour and 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon. (The vineyard’s
description says it best for the cab sauv: “Loaded with roasted coffee, leather, vanilla
bean, and bacon…”  Wait – did someone say bacon?  Brilliant.)
